Growing up cooking with my grandmother and baking with my mother first ignited my interest and passion for creating with food and presenting it beautifully. I learned early the power it has to bring people together and how connected are food and life's most happy moments. I always loved everything about it. So in 2009 when I found myself ready to leave behind my job in Accounting and take a chance to pursue something more inspiring, back to my kitchen roots I went.

After taking training at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts I began this adventure called Love Sugar. First, making only custom cakes and later expanding to food styling services and custom cookies. Now years later whether I am creating sugary works of art or picture-perfect food for photos or film I’m so grateful to be doing what I love, having the varied and interesting work life I always craved and meeting so many great people along the way.


When should I order my cake?                 
 As soon as possible! During busy seasons we can book up to 8 weeks ahead so the more notice the better to avoid disappointment. But we try very hard to accommodate all orders at any time so go ahead and send an email.

How do I order a cake?
To request a quote feel free to complete this form or send us an email to info@lovesugarcakes.com. Your email should include the date of your event, how many people you will need to serve, the delivery location and a description of what you are looking for. Any inspiration pictures of what you are looking for will be very helpful to provide you will an accurate quote.

How much are custom cakes?
All cakes are completely custom designed and crafted for your unique event and begin at $120. They increase from there based on size and complexity of the design. A number of other design elements will increase the price of your cake such as the addition of cake toppers, sugar flowers, fresh flowers, hand sculpted figurines, intricate detailing and multi-tiered designs.

Can my cake be delivered?
With the exception of wedding cakes, we offer complimentary delivery within the Downtown Vancouver core. Outside of this area a delivery fee will apply. Please include your delivery address with your quote request to receive a quote for delivery.
Wedding cakes begin at $75 for delivery and setup at your venue
Please note we do not deliver to the Fraser Valley.
